What to Expect in a Somatic Experiencing® Session
A Somatic Experiencing® session opens with a moment of arrival and gentle attunement — a short check-in where attention settles into the felt sense of the body. From there, the work unfolds at a pace that the nervous system can meet with ease: noticing subtle sensations, gentle movement or shifts, breath quality, and the interplay between tension and release. This is not about doing something to the body, but rather listening with the body, tracking what arises and allowing held energy to soften and discharge in small, regulated increments. You may notice waves of sensation, warmth, tension, or calm — all of which are part of the system’s own intelligence showing what is present. Sessions include pauses and space for integration so that each moment of release or shift can settle into the body before moving forward. At the close, there is time to gently orient back into the room, bringing awareness to how the body feels now — different from before — with a renewed sense of coherence and presence.

Somatic Experiencing® sessions are offered in person in Göttingen or Online.

Where It Takes Place
Sessions are held in a quiet practice room near Klosterpark, in an old Fachwerk house on the upper floor with views to the greenery. It is a calm, grounding environment to arrive in your body and begin the work.
During the Session
You will be guided by attention to sensation, rhythm, and what the nervous system brings forward. There is no need to perform or analyze — the emphasis is on felt experience, noticing subtle shifts, and allowing regulated responses to unfold.
